How do I clean my honed concrete floor?

Honed concrete is relatively low maintenance and can be cleaned quite easily by simply sweeping and washing the surface with the hose. Long-term, honed concrete requires sanding and resealing every three to seven years to maintain appearance.

What’s the difference between honed and polished concrete?

Honed concrete is achieved by mechanically grinding the concrete surface down to the desired exposure level and then applying a sealer. Polished concrete on the other hand is mechanically ground and polished, resulting in a finish where the concrete mix itself is glossy – without the presence of a sealer.
